We have reached the first 100 Days under leadership of new President & CEO, Shawn H. Wilson. Watch as he outlines what’s next on our journey to reimagine Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan.
The past few months has been a whirlwind experience for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan. As part of this reimagining campaign, we have toured state of the art facilities around Southeastern Michigan to conceptualize what is possible as we transform our Clubs into world-class spaces.
We’ve gleaned inspiration from local innovators, founders, and entrepreneurs as we venture to build on our state of the art programs and expand our partnerships to help us reach the 250,000+ youth living within a five-mile radius of our Clubs.
We’ve participated in community visioning sessions, bringing our partners, community leaders, parents, and most importantly, our Club members along every step of the way.
And, at the forefront of everything is a central mission to empower our youth by exposing them to opportunities and experiences to refine their talents and hone their potential to become change agents for their life, Club, and communities.
Last Friday, Club members had the opportunity to attend @Microsoft‘s Minority Student Day. They participated in hands-on tech sessions, met with tech professionals, created their own LinkedIn page and digital vision boards. pic.twitter.com/rDJ4CwD6Wt— Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (@bgcsem) March 18, 2019
It has been an eventful few months, but the real work is just beginning as we shift the paradigm for this 93-year-old youth serving organization.
Stay tuned for exciting things to come as we reimagine our Clubs, partnerships, and programming for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan.
