The Clubs represent a beacon of hope in the communities across Southeast Michigan where we serve 26,000 kids annually. Our high quality programs help members through mentoring, homework assistance, leadership development, arts, sports and fitness. Kids who attend our Clubs are empowered to make and reach goals to succeed.
90% of our Club members graduate from high school – that compares to the non-Club rate of only 25% in Detroit. Many of our kids come from households headed by a single parent or from foster homes. We become their safety net and often, a lifeline. In the summer, we offer Youth Enrichment Activities (YEA), a 2 ½ hour daily program with high-yield learning activities that run before the regular daily session begins.
